It started with a prayer
our story
99 for the One is a family-led, faith-based outreach serving people living in shelters on Florida’s Treasure Coast.
Every One Matters to God
why “99 for the one”
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?”
Our name comes from Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep. The shepherd goes after the one. We believe every person in a shelter at Christmas is that one: known by God, loved, and worth going after.
FIVE CHRISTMASES
For the past five Christmases, God has put it on our hearts to serve families in local shelters through gifts, a meal, prayer, and presence. What began as a small family-led outreach has continued to grow.

THE WHY
Why we do this
Be present
We are not dropping off items. We are showing people they are seen by God.
Make Jesus tangible
A gift opens the door, but prayer, meals, music, and conversation carry the heart.
Love our neighbors
The need is here on the Treasure Coast, and so is the opportunity to serve it.
Jessica & Carlos Garcia
Founders, 99 for the One
What began as a family tradition of serving others during Christmas has grown into a mission to bring hope, dignity, and the love of Jesus Christ to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
The People Behind the Mission
For five years, Jessica and Carlos have dedicated their time to creating meaningful Christmas experiences for those in need.
Through 99 for the One, they hope to inspire others to join them in making a difference: one person, one family, and one act of love at a time.
THE WHY
To demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by bringing joy, dignity, and meaningful support to individuals and families living in shelters during the Christmas season.
OUR VISIOn
To see lives transformed through the love of Jesus Christ, building a community where every person is seen, every family is valued, and no one is forgotten.
